Jagan announced four Covid- 19 special hospitals in AP

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to initiate steps to the marking of agriculture produces in the state. He conveyed a review meeting on Monday at his camp office with the Agriculture Minister Kanna Babu, Municipal Minister Botsa, Chief Secretary Neelam Sahani and DGP Gautam Sawang.

After review meeting he directed the Collectors and SPs to take the steps for proper distribution of essential commodities due to lock down. He also warned that no seller does not sell the goods higher than the Government prescribe prices, if anyone violated he will be punished rigorously. He also directed the officials and the volunteers to do household services everyday and send the reports to the higher authorities. He urged the people to utilize the lock down period as the best. And also appealed that to contain the Covid- 19 follow the social distancing and sanitised methods.

He also said that the AP Government established four Covid- 19 critical care hospitals in AP. The hospitals are at Vishakhapatnam Government Hospital, Siddhartha Medical Hospital, Vijayawada, Government General Hospital, Nellore and Padmavathi Hospital, Tirupati. He told to the Collectors to constitute two level groups to collect the household data on Covid- 19. In the primary level Village Volunteers, Village Secretariat employees and Ward Secretaries, Ward Secretariats in Municipalities.

The second level committee is with Gram Panchayat Officers, Municipal Commissioners, Doctors and local public representatives. This second level committee will analyze the information given by the first level committee and take appropriate decisions to prevent the spread of Covid- 19 disease. He also said that to create 500 isolation wards in each constituency and as well as 500 bedded hospitals in the district headquarters. He also directed the Collectors to take all private hospitals, hotels and function halls into position and change them into Covid- 19 isolation wards.

The Government also directed the Collectors to appoint one doctor for three wards in the Municipalities and one doctor for one ward in the Municipal Corporation with war footing measures. This decision will monitor by the Collectors and the concerned Municipal Commissioners, he said.
