Jaipur Court orders to probe on Gajendra Shekhawat and his family: On the irregularities of Sanjavani Credit Co-operative Society

Jaipur: A Court in Jaipur recently directed the Special Operations Group (SOG) to probe the role of Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, his wife and associates in the Rs. 884 Cr Sanjavani Credit Co-operative Society scam in Jaipur.

The Additional District and Sessions Court order followed a petition by Ladu Singh and Guman Singh, both residence of Barmer, who had invested Rs. 54 lakh and 24 lakh, respectively, in the Ponzi scheme of the society but failed to get their money back. A.K. Jain Counsel for the petitioners said the Rajasthan SOG has been investigating the case after filing an FIR (number 32/ 2019) in August 23rd, 2019. Preliminary investigation found that about 50K investors were duped of around Rs. 884 Cr.

Shekhawat is already facing an SOG probe on charges of trying to topple the Congress Government in the Rajasthan by fuelling horse trading.
