Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao has ordered a Vigilance inquiry on Friday on the allegations of land grabbing on Medical & Health Minister Etela Rajender. KCR also directed the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to bring the fact reports from the Collector, Medak district.

Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao received a complaint from the farmers residing in Hakimpet and Achampet of Masaipet mandal in Medak district. The farmer in their complaint wrote that the Medical & Health Minister Etela Rajender has purchased the assignment land nearly 100 acres for his family running hatcheries.

He purchased the land from the small farmers from weaker communities, who got allocation of assignment lands for their livelihood in the year 1994. Though there is a restriction, the assignment lands were not purchased by others as per the POT Act. But, the Minister Etela Rajender ignored all the restrictions and purchased the assignment lands in Achampet in Sy.Nos – 130/1 to 130/10 and in Hakimpet 140/1.

The Minister also tried to transfer the assignment lands in the names his family members. But, the District Revenue Authorities said they are helpless to transfer the assignment lands to others names, without surrendering the land to the Government and re- allotment to the fresh assignees.
