Mamatha won landslide victory in West Bengal: LDF, NDA back to power, MK Stalin set to be CM of Tamil Nadu for first time

New Delhi: The election result – 2021 trends in five states declared on Sunday indicates the BJP, TMC and LDF retained their Governments in Assam, West Bengal and Kerala.

The DMK won a massive victory in Tamil Nadu, DMK President MK Stalin is going to swear- in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for first time. The ruling party AIADMK in Tamil Nadu stands second place with 81 seats.

The ruling LDF headed by the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan retained the power in Kerala.

The BJP retained power in Assam and win a majority to form Government in Puducherry.

The results showing the party – wise winning seats are given below:-

West Bengal:-

Total Assembly seats in West Bengal are 294. The magic figure to form a Government is 147. The BJP gave tight fight in the eight phase elections in West Bengal to the ruling party TMC. The TMC Supremo Mamatha Banerjee has won landslide victory with 214 seats out of 292 results declared.

BJP got 77 seats, Congress won one seat. Mamatha Banerjee is going to set Government for third time in the State. She swore – in as CM of West Bengal for the first time in 2011. She again swore – in as CM for the second consecutive term as CM in 2016 with 211 seats. Now she won 214 seats in 2021 elections and set for third consecutive term as CM to form Government in West Bengal. In this election, she faced a strong fight with BJP in all phases of elections.

  • TMC – 214 seats
  • BJP – 77 seats
  • Left – 01 seats
  • Others – 00 seats

Tamil Nadu:-

Total Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu are 234 seats. The DMK Supremo MK Stalin’s long awaiting dream to swear – in as CM of Tamil Nadu becomes true through this election results. The DMK won 149 seats and ruling AIADMK won 85 seats. Magic figure to form Government in Tamil Nadu is 118.

  • DMK+ – 149 seats
  • AIADMK+ –  85 seats

Kerala:-

Total seats in Kerala Assembly are 140 and magic figure to form Government in Kerala is 71. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan headed LDF leads his party to a victory for second consecutive term in the 2021 elections.  The Kerala voters changed their sentiment to change the Government for every five years since 40 years. Now, the Kerala voters gave chance to Pinarayi Vijayan’s LDF a second chance to form the Government against the previous sentiments. LDF won 97 seats and UDF won 43 seats in the 2021 elections.
