YSRCP candidate Guru Murthy won with 2, 71, 592 votes majority in Tirupati bye – elections – 2021`

Tirupati: YSRCP candidate M. Guru Murthy won with a majority of 2, 71, 592 votes against his nearest rival TDP candidate Panabaka Laxmi in Tirupati bye- elections – 2021 which held on 17th April.

The Tirupati bye- election is necessitated with the death of sitting MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao with Covid – 19. YSRCP candidate Guru Murthy bagged heavy majority in all 25 rounds of counting in each Assembly segments against his political rivals TDP, BJP+, Congress and CPM. Guru Murthy created a highest record of majority in the bye – elections ever than in the past elections held in Tirupati. The contesting candidate, former IAS officer Ratna Prabha of BJP+, the Congress candidate Chinta Mohan, former two times MP from Tirupati, the CPM candidate Nellore Yadagiri forfeited their deposit. The Tirupati voters voted for Nota 15, 568 votes.
