Modi, Mamatha Share Dias at 150 Years Celebrations of Kolkata Port Trust

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Benarjee will share the Dias with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event in the city during his two day official visit to the state from Saturday.

Mamatha Benarjee is opposing the NRC, CAA and NPR which take PM Narendra Modi in the center since some months. Before the event, she is also likely to meet the Prime Minister for a direct discussion at Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening.

They might discuss several issues, including the CAA and NRC. This dramatic development came after union minister of state for shipping mansukh mandaviya, who is in the city on Friday visited the TMC Chief Mamatha at the state secretariat Nibanna in the afternoon and personally requested her to attend the 150 years celebrations of the Kolkata Port trust.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate at Netaji Indore Stadium on Sunday morning. After the union minister’s plea, a communication was sent from Nibanna to the Kolkata Port trust confirming the CM’s participation at the event, sources said.

The Union Minister also met West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar at Raj Bhavan where the PM’s will stay. Governor also will be present at the Port trust event.
