New Delhi: The Congress alleged that the Modi Government if implemented the Citizenship Act, it will “Shred the Soul” of India and the sole agenda of the Legislation was to make people fight amongst each other.

  The Congress party organized a mega rally “Bharat Bachao” (Save India) at Ramleela Maidan on Saturday. Speaking at the rally, Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that the Congress only has always fought for the people’s rights. Today also Congress party is not going back on its stand. She also said that till the last breath we will fulfill our duty towards protecting the country, democracy and the constitution. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former President Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and Chief Ministers of five Congress ruled state participated.

She also targeted the Modi dispensation over the state of economy and exhorted to raise their voices to protect the country and its constitution.  She also said that the CAA passed last week in the Parliament had been on the BJP agenda for a long time.
