CBI Court Sent Chidambaram for Five Days Custody

New Delhi: The CBI Court granted permission to the CBI for the interrogation of Former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. The CBI Court allowed CBI custody to Chidambaram until August 26th.

       The Court also allowed Chidambaram family members and lawyer’s limited access to Chidambaram for a half-an hour on each day. The CBI officers questioned Chidambaram for 3 hours at CBI head quarters on Thursday morning. Then they brought him to the court.

        The Former Union Minister told to the Court, there was no need for custodial interrogation by the investigation agency. He also said that he was co-operating with CBI for interrogation, he has answered the questions asked by the CBI whether I am having bank account in abroad, he said no. He also stated his son is having a bank account in abroad. The CBI alleged money laundering case related to INX media in 2007.
