Mumbai: Eleven persons killed in an incident of a double storeyed building collapsed on another structure at a slum in Mumbai sub-urban on Wednesday late night. Atleast another eight persons injured in the incident. According to the officials sources many people are stilled trapped under the debris and evacuation operations are going on.

The Bombay municipal corporation is evacuating the people from another three-storey structure nearby which is in a dilapidated condition. The injured people were shifted to a hospital in Kandivali sub-urban with the help of local people. “17 injuries were reported, of which nine were brought dead. Eight are being treated for their injuries,” said hospital sources.

The local police and fire officials are on the rescue operations. The incident has occurred at 11:10 pm on Wednesday, said the BMC disaster management cell.
