Indira Gandhi’s 102nd birth anniversary: Pranab, Advani and Sonia paid floral tributes to Smt. Indira Gandhi’s portrait
New Delhi: The Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi and Congress leaders paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Late. Smt. Indira Gandhi on Tuesday, on the 102nd birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi.
Sonia Gandhi, her daughter Priyanka Gandhi and son Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to Smt. Indira Gandhi at Shakti Sthal where her memorial is situated. The former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other leaders paid tributes to her. Former President Pranab Mukherjee, Ex-Vice President Hamid Ansari, Congress leaders, MPs and party workers also paid floral tributes to the former Prime Minister.
She
was served as Prime Minister of India from 1966 to 77 and 1980 to 84. She was
born at Allahabad on November 19th in 1917. Congress party in its
official twitter paid homage to Smt. Indira Gandhi and said that her will and
determination led our country to great heights. Her contribution to India’s
national security, economy and foreign policy will always be cherished. She played
key role in establishing India as a strong country, said Rahul Gandhi in his
twitter about his grandmother.
