Lionel Messi wins record sixth Ballon d’ Or award
Paris: Lionel Messi claiming a record sixth Men’s Ballon d’ Or award at the age of 32 in Paris on Monday. While the USA World Cup superstar Megan Rapinoe took the Women’s prize.

Messi was there with his wife Antonella Roceuzzo and two of their childrens. It is Messi’s first Ballon d’ Or since 2015 and his sixth overall as he moves one a head of old rival Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi said that it is ten years since he won his first Ballon d’ Or here in Paris. And he also remember coming with his three brothers, he was just 22 at it was all unthinkable for him. But he was going through Messi said on stage after receiving the award from last year’s winner Luka Modric.

Rapinoe was not at the Chatelete Theater in the French capital unable to make the trip back to the country where she led the USA to victory in July.
