Modi Hugged ISRO Chief Shivan

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged the ISRO Scientists on Saturday on the failure of lander Vikram on the surface of moon.

          The ISRO Chandrayaan-2, schedule to land on Moon’s South Pole at the vee hours of 1.55am on Saturday, but the orbiter is at the height of 2.1 kms from the moon the lander released from the orbiter and lost signals at the ISRO Center. The scientists who are emotional to operate the landing machine are upset.

          Prime Minister Narendra Modi present at Bengaluru ISRO office to see the landing of Vikram on the moon. After the lander Vikram failure to land on the moon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address at ISTRAC that the nation is proud of them and stands with them.

        We came very close but we need to cover more ground in the times to come. He also said that learning from today’s set back will make us strange and better. The nation is proud of our space program and scientists. There are new frontiers to discover and new places to go India are with you, said Modi.

          There will be a new dawn and brighter tomorrow, he added. Modi also said that I am with you, the nation is with you. Prime Minister said a Slogan “Bharat Maata Ki Jai”. He also said that he could understand the feeling of scientists a few hours earlier when it became clear that Chandrayaan’s-2 final journey did not go as per plan.

          Modi also said that he read the sadness on the face of scientists. He said that I have lived those moments with you. He recalled a number of ISRO’s successful mission including the one to Mars and described ISRO as an encyclopedia of success.           Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaving ISTRAC at Bengaluru, he hugged the ISRO chief Dr. Shivan and patted his backed. Modi encouraged Shivan it is not a failure, it’s a small distance to reach the destination you will get best success in the next attempt, he said.
