New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday consoled the India Women Hockey team Captain and other members over telephonic conversation after their lost the match against Great Britain for Bronze Medal.

During a phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, players of the Indian women’s hockey team have broken down. Indian Women Hockey team lost to Great Britain in the Bronze Medal match with 4 – 3 goals.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended them on their success in Tokyo Olympics 2021. After barely missing out on a bronze medal, he consoled an emotional Indian women’s hockey team. Your sweat may not have resulted in a medal, but it has served as a source of inspiration for millions of young Indian women. I congratulate the players and the coach on this achievement, Modi said.
