New Delhi: Supreme Court directed the Union Government, Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and the Governor Koshyari to submit the letters to the Court on Monday at 10.30 am.

  The Court asked the centre and Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar to submit the letters how many MLAs support have the Government, the Governor’s invitation letter to the Fadnavis to form the Government on Sunday.

  The Siva Sena, NCP and Congress parties requested the Supreme Court the Governor’s invitation to Fadnavis to form the Government in Maharashtra is illegal and unconstitutional. Governor tried to partition in the parties and to benefit the BJP. The senior councils Kapil Sibal and Abhisekh Manu Singhvi argued on behalf of the Siva Sena, NCP and Congress petition. Kapil Sibal urged the Court to direct Fadnavis to conduct floor test within 24 hours in the Assembly. The another council Abhisekh Manu Singhvi urged the Court to take the floor test within 24 hours, which was taken into consideration in Karnataka state in 2018, the then Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa took oath as a Chief Minister without majority in the floor.

  After hearing the councils the Supreme Court three Judges bench headed by Justice N.V. Ramana issued directions to the centre, Maharashtra Governor, Chief Minister Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to submit the letters of the MLAs support, the Governor’s invitation to Fadnavis. The Solicitor General Mukul Rohit Gi said to the Court that nobody have right to question the decisions of the Governor under the Article 361 of Constitution. He also expressed objection that the petitioners have not approached the High Court of Maharashtra, they came to Supreme Court is not correct. He also urged the Supreme Court to provide three days time to submit these two letters to the Court. But the Court not accepted the plea of solicitor General and directed to submit at 10.30 am on Monday.
