Yediyurappa said he feels proud to have paid back to the people of Shivamogga

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said he feels proud to have paid back to the people of Shivamogga district and his Shikaripura constituency, by ensuring it’s all round development.

He virtually inaugurated projects worth of ₹ 1,074 crore and laying the foundation stones to various projects in Shivamogga district worth ₹ 560 crore, from his home office on Saturday. Speaking after the occasion he said he faced many challenges from the day he took charge as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, but is satisfied that he has made honest efforts to better the lives of the people.

I am satisfied that the developmental works in Shivamogga district since two years. I feel proud to say that I have made honest efforts for the development of my native Constituency Shikaripura Taluk, which gave the political birth to me. I had to face several challenges like natural disasters that the State had never faced in the past and the Covid – 19 pandemic, which ravaged lives. Now once again there is a flood like situation, he said.

He directed the Deputy Commissioners of eight districts including Shivamogga to take up relief and rescue works. The Chief Minister gave an indication that July 25th is the last working day to him as Chief Minister; it is reliable that the instructions based on the Central leaders. His government will complete two years in office on July 26.
