Neeraj Chopra won Gold medal in Kuortane Games

Finland: Indian Javelin athlete Neeraj Chopra won the Gold medal at the Kuortane Games in Finland on Saturday after registering a throw of 86.69m on his first attempt. He made two foul throws and opted out of the last three throws. This was just his second competition since the Tokyo Olympics, where he became the first Indian to win a gold medal in athletics.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott won Silver medal with a throw of 86.64m and World Champion Anderson Peters of Grenada won Bronze medal with a throw of 84.75m in the final round. Neeraj Chopra will next take part in the Stockholm leg of the Diamond League on June 30th.
