Mumbai: Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) Nisaba Godrej will take over the additional role of MD and CEO from Vivek Gambhir (51) who resigned for personal reasons. This is the first time since the formation of GCPL that the post of MD and CEO will be held by a member of the promoter family.

Nisaba (42) who is currently the Executive Chairperson the company will take over the additional responsibility with effect from July 1^st 2020. She was appointed as Chairperson by the board three years back after group patriarch and Nisaba’s father, Adi Godrej assumed the role of Chairman Emeritus. Nisaba in a statement said that she would like to thank the board for reposing their confidence in her. Humanity is going through difficult times right now and GCPL.
