New Delhi: The Union Home Minister Amit Shah referred the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Benerjee’s dubbing the Shramik Special as Corona Express will eventually turn into “Exit Trinamool Express”.

Amit Shah made a strong pitch on Tuesday for Paribartan in Bengal, months ahead of the 2020 Assembly elections. The Bengal Government tried to keep migrant workers away when they were desperate to get back to their families, he said. Mamatha has insulted workers of Bengal by calling Shramik trains as Corona Express, he added.

Shah lashed out at Mamatha over the violence on State BJP functionaries and alleged that police prevented the party’s law makers from reaching out to the people during the lock down, he said. You have stopped BJP leaders and have beaten few of them, he said. I am talking to the people of Bengal on virtual space.

Come and stop me if you can, Shah challenged. Referring to TMC’s opposition to the CAA, he said after partition, refugees came to Bengal and have been staying here without identity and rights, said Shah. The Modi Government honoured them by adopting CAA, he said. He asked Mamatha what harm did Matuas do to you that you are denying them citizenship rights. Wait for elections, people of Bengal will make you a political refugee, said Shah.
