PM Calls for Lockdown, Express Angry with Violators

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet on Monday said that many people are still not following the lockdown seriously. He expressed anguish over those flouting the lockdown call and asked the law enforcing agencies to crack down on violators.

He urged the people, please save yourself, save your family, follow the instructions seriously. PM also requested the state governments to ensure rules and laws are followed. Later Ajay Bhalla, Union Home Secretary asked the DGPs for strict implementation of lockdown and take legal action against violators, said in a video conference with all state DGPs on Monday.

Following the centres directions to states to enforce additional restrictions, if necessary Punjab and Maharashtra imposed curfew while Delhi as completely sealed its inter-state border with neighbours. Curfew passes will be issued to those moving essential goods in Delhi.
