New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed anger on opposition parties and stopped the introduction of new Ministers in the middle. The opposition parties staged protests o in the Parliament on Monday in the monsoon session, PM told to the protesting MPs in Parliament, please treat them as introduced.

The MPs protest continued until the Lok Sabha was adjourned till the afternoon. Modi in his address said that there would be enthusiasm in the parliament as so many women, Dalits and tribals have become Ministers. This time our colleagues from agricultural and rural background, OBC community have been given a place in the council of ministers.

PM said that some people are feeling unhappy because of the country’s women, OBCs, farmers’ sons become Ministers. That is why they don’t even allow their introduction, he added. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla admonished the protesting MPs and urged decorum. He also said you are bringing down the standards of parliamentary democracy; we are the largest democracy in the world. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said it is extremely sad and unfortunate, what the Congress did in the House. PM could not even introduce his Ministers, he added. PM Modi had said in his traditional remarks before the start of the session that the opposition must ask tough questions but must also allow the Government to answer them in Parliament.

The opposition parties in the Lok Sabha has pledged to take on the Government in Parliament on issues ranging from the farmer protests and price rise, to the latest scandal involving allegations of journalists and politicians in India on the list of those targeted by Israeli spyware Pegasus.
