Prashant Kumar Mishra took oath as Chief Justice of AP High Court

Vijayawada:  Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra took oath as the Chief Justice of the AP High Court on Wednesday at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada. He was succeeded as Chief Justice of AP High Court in place of the former Chief Justice Aroop Kumar Goswami who is transferred to Chattisgarh High Court.

After sworn in as Chief Justice of AP, AP Governor Bishwabhusan Harichandan and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy felicitated him with shawls and bouquets.

AP Governor Bishwabhusan Harichandan administered the oath with Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra as Chief Justice of AP High Court. New Chief Justice of AP was born on August 29, 1964 in Chhattisgarh. He completed his B.Sc and LLB from the Guru Ghasidas University in Bilaspur. He has practiced law at the District Court in Raigarh, the Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur and the Chhattisgarh High Court in Bilaspur.

Prior to his elevation as the Judge of the Chattisgarh High Court in 2009, Mishra had stints as additional Advocate General and Advocate General of the State.

Municipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas, Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma and other Judges of the High Court were present on the occasion.
