Punish stringently the assaulted culprits of Gargi College students: Kejriwal

New Delhi: The Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal said that his Government would not tolerate misbehavior with our daughters on Monday afternoon, the incident occurs after four days.

He demanded the Government punish the culprits with severe punishment who are responsible for the incident. Delhi police filed a case on the incident; a mob assaulted the girl students at Delhi’s Gargi College four days ago.

Kejriwal in his tweet said that the incident on the girls in Gargi College is very sad and disappointing. He urged the Government punish the culprits stringently and we must ensure the children studying in our college feel safe. Delhi police have taken Suo Moto Cognisance of the sexual assault and initiated a probe into the incident that took place as students celebrated a cultural festival on February 6th.

The NCW Chairman Rekha Sharma said that she has sent a team to investigate the incident. The NCW team will speak with the police and principal about the incident, she said. The students of the college staged a protest within the college campus on Monday morning and expressed anger on the complete lapse of security. Additional DCP Geetanjali Khandelwal is investigating the case.
