Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Amarendra Singh announced his Government’s decision on Friday to extend the lock down until May 1^st. The Punjab cabinet has decided to extend lock down and curfew till May 1^st, the seriousness of the situation arising out of Covid- 19 in the state.

The Chief Minister appeal the people to stay home and strictly observe health safeguards as you have done so far, he also said thanks to the people in a tweet. Punjab and Odisha are Governed by non- BJP parties and their taking the lead in prolonging the lock down in the states. They also appealed the people for continuing the enforcement of social distancing.
