Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police rescued two kidnapped GST officers and arrested four persons near Rajiv Chowk at Dilsukhnagar on Wednesday in Hyderabad.

According to the LB Nagar police sources, two GST officers visited a scrap unit at Saroornagar stock yard on Wednesday to inspect the fake GST registration. The scrap owner and his associates insulted the two GST officers and beaten them severely and forcibly thrown into a Fortuner vehicle.

After receiving the information from GST office, the police chased the kidnapped vehicle and arrested the four accused persons in Dilsukhnagar. The accused persons used the vehicle of the TDP leader from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. The kidnap episode was done by TDP leaders and their associates, said police.  The accused persons are identified as Syed Feroz, Syed Mujeeb, Shaik Imtiyaz, and Syed Musheer. The police remanded the accused.
