New Delhi: Dhani Ram Mittal (85), a thief who stole fancy cars, posing as a Judge died on Thursday. According to the police source he started his criminal activities in 1964 and did not stop.

He had passed B. Sc in first class from Rohtak and later went on to do LLB from Rajasthan. He worked as clerk in a senior lawyer’s office. At that time he used to theft the cars, later he continued his criminal activities for lifelong.

He involved in theft, cheating, impersonation and forgery in his lifetime. His name was registered in FIR in more than 150 theft cases in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and Rajasthan and he had been put behind bars over 90 times.

From posing as a judge and granting bail to undertrials to stealing fancy cars for personal commute, Dhani Ram Mittal had several capers to his name in his decades-long career in crime.

Dhani Ram Mittal crime list is long, he was directly involved in more than 1,000 cases of theft, cheating, impersonation and forgery in his lifetime.

When we were reading his criminal profile, we got to know that he managed to pose as a judge for a few days in Jhajjar and passed orders to release criminals serving long sentences, said police sources. In 2016, aged 77, he was arrested for stealing a car in Rani Bagh in 2016 at the age of 77 years. Mittal was creamted by his son at Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat.
