Roger Federer lost to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz with straight sets 6 – 0 in Wimbledon quarter final

London: Swiss ace tennis player Roger Federer lost in the quarter finals in Wimbledon against Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz on Wednesday. Federer lost 6-3, 7-6 (7/4), 6-0 to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz,  it was only the eight time Wimbledon champion’s 14th defeat at the tournament in 119 matches and his first straight sets loss since an opening round exit against Mario Ancic in 2002.

Federer lost for the first time 6 – 0 sets at Wimbledon. It’s super special to have played Roger here; it’s a dream come true, said Hurkacz. He is only the second Polish man to reach the semi finals at Wimbledon Jerzy Janowicz being the other in 2013, next match with either Matteo Berrettini of Italy or Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime for a place in Sunday’s final.

Wimbledon posted a video in its official twitter; Federer was walking off the centre court, after his defeat, as fans in attendance gave the legendary star a standing ovation, Federer leaving the court with the crowd cheering on the Switzerland star.
