Vijayawada: AP Government has decided to appoint 1985 batch IAS officer Sameer Sharma as the new Chief Secretary of the State. He will take charge as new CS from October 1^st as a successor of the outgoing CS Adityanath Das.

Sameer Sharma is currently working as Special Principal Secretary, State Planning Department, Vice Chairman, Institute of Leadership Governance and Member Secretary of AP.
