Vijayawada: The AP State Election Commissioner lifted local body elections code in the state, which was imposed for six weeks as per the election schedule of local body elections, which was postponed.

He lifted the election code, after receiving the verdict of Supreme Court on Wednesday evening, he announced the same. He also said that though the election code was lifted in the state but the campaign of the candidates and other parties regarding to the local body elections will not be allowed.
