New Delhi: Senior IPS officer S N Srivatsava appointed as police commissioner of Delhi. He will take charge from incumbent Amulya Patnaik, who was retiring on Saturday.

A notification issued by the union ministry said that he will take the additional charge of the top COP until further orders. He was repatriated from the CRPF on Monday and appointed as the special commissioner (Law and Order) of the Delhi police, amid the rights in parts of North-East Delhi.
