Protesters not allowed Babu to enter into Vizag: shouted slogans “Chandra Babu Go Back”

Vishakhapatnam: TDP Supremo N. Chandra Babu Naidu was taken into custody under preventive detention at the Vishakhapatnam airport on Thursday. The voluntary organizations, student organizations, general public and political parties stage a protest outside the Vishakhapatnam airport against Chandra Babu Naidu’s visit to Vishakhapatnam.

The police later forcibly put him on a plane back to Hyderabad at 8 pm. A large number of people along with YSRCP workers assembled at the airport since morning, allegedly on the directions from Minister M. Srinivas Rao, who had earlier announced that people would oppose his visit.

The protesters squatted outside the airport, abducting the convoy of Chandra Babu Naidu. Women protesters lay down on the road, not to move the convoy further. The protesters shouted slogans “Uttara Andhra Drohi- Chandra Babu Go Back” and they demanded that say favour to three capitals including Vizag as Executive Capital. Without Clear announcement on Vizag as Executive Capital, we won’t allow you to visit the North Andhra, said protesters. Chandra Babu and his party men tried to go by walk into Vizag but the police not allowed him on the grounds of Law & Order situations.

The protesters stopped Chandra Babu Naidu nearly five and half hours outside the airport. Chandra Babu’s efforts to go into the Vizag inveined due to the protests, the police asked him to go into airport lounge, but he rejected. Chandra Babu squatted nearly hour on the ground outside the airport. The police finally issued a notice under Section 151 CRPC and took him into custody. Later he was sent to Hyderabad.
