Hyderabad: Hyderabad Sailing Week -2021 events is emerging as one of the major attractions of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad said Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday.

She participated as the Chief Guest at the inaugural 35th Hyderabad Sailing Week – 2021. Sailing competitions in Hyderabad are helping produce international sailors, she said. She appreciated the efforts of the EME Sailing Club and the Secunderabad Sailing Club for organizing this event on a regular basis and thus promoting the sport of sailing in Telangana and in our country. Governor took a boat ride in the Hussainsagar Lake marking the inaugural of the sailing championships.
The sustained efforts in promoting sailing have earned a pride of place for our country in the international sailing map, she added. Governor Tamilisai exhorted the young sailors, who are taking part in sailing championships, to pursue the sport with passion and dedication so as to excel in the sport and bring laurels to the country.
Lt Gen TSA Narayanan, AVSM, Commodore, of the EME Sailing Association, Maj Gen JS Sidana, Vice Commodore, EME Sailing Association, R Raghuram Reddy, President of the Secunderabad Club, were among the attendees.
