Hyderabad: Two RTC staffers end their lives of the ongoing strike on Sunday. RTC driver Srinivas Reddy had died as he doused himself with petrol and set himself on fire in support of the ongoing strike. He was rushed to a private hospital in Khammam and was later shifted to Apollo DRDO hospital in city.

  Srinivas Reddy who was working as driver at Khammam depot attempting suicide, Srinivas Reddy at Khammam hospital on Saturday said that his sacrifice of his life was for the betterment of striking RTC employees. In his dying declaration he said he took the extreme step due to the Government’s decision to dismiss striking RTC staff, which was recorded by a Magistrate.

  An RTC conductor committed suicide B. Surender Goud (48) in the evening who was working at Ranigunj Depot- 2. He committed suicide by hanging and his family members shifted him to Mythri hospital where he was declared as dead.
