Tirupati MP B. Durga Prasad Rao Passes Away due to Covid-19

Tirupati: Tirupati MP B. Durga Prasad Rao passes away at a private hospital in Chennai on Wednesday, succumbed with Covid-19. He was admitted after tested positive for Covid-19, and he died while undergoing treatment.

He is the second sitting MP in India, who died with pandemic virus. According to the hospital sources he was suffered a massive cardiac arrest and all attempts to resuscitate him failed. He had comorbidities when he tested positive. Prasad Rao was hailing from Bhimavaram in Naidupet Mandal of Nellore dist, present he is residing in Venkatagiri.

He was elected first time as MLA at the age of 28, he elected four times to AP Assembly. He served as education minister for two years from 1996 in the TDP. Later he joined the YSRC before the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. He was elected as Tirupati MP in 2019 elections as YSRCP contestant.
