WB Assembly rejects CAA

Kolkata: The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Benerjee appealed the opposition parties including the Congress and Left to compromise their narrow differences to build a united movement against the CAA in the state. The West Bengal Assembly passed anti-CAA resolution in the State Assembly on Monday. This is the fourth state to pass a resolution against CAA.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Benerjee moved resolution against the CAA in Assembly on Monday. Speaking on the resolution she also said the protests against the law is not just for the Minority but for the sake of the Country’s unity. She said that we won’t allow CAA, NPR and NRC in the state. We will fight against them peacefully. We want CAA to repealed immediately. We also want NPR to be revoked, she said.

She also said the CAA is against the Constitution and Humanity. She also slammed the controversial comments of BJP leader Kailash Vijay Vargiya on saying of ‘Poha’ a single colour cannot run the Country.
