YS Jagan performed “Go Pooja” at Narasaraopeta

Narasaraopeta: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy performed “Go Pooja (Cow Pooja)” at the Narasaraopeta stadium on Friday, on the occasion of Kanuma as a part of the festival Sankranthi. A cow is represents nearly 3 crore deities.

Kanuma festival is called the festival of animals. The farmers decorate their animals and offers poojas to them in cooperating in the agriculture works.  The TTD and the Endowment Department of AP jointly organized the “Go Pooja” program in the state nearly in 2, 500 temples including 50 temples of TTD. The Endowment Department performed pooja 108 cows at the Narasaraopeta stadium.

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wore traditional dress and performed pooja to a cow by decorating the cow with the flowers and also offered silk robes to the cow. He wished the people of Andhra Pradesh and who attended the program with full of joy in their lives. TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy and others attended.
