Gudivada: TDP, Jena Sena activists attacked with rods, sticks and pelted stones on the car of Krishna district’s ZP Chairperson Uppala Harika on Saturday at Nagavarapadu Junction.

Uppala Harika and her husband along with YSRCP activists travelling in car to attend the program “Babu Surety – Mosam Guarantee” held at
K. Convention at Lingavaram in Gudivada mandal.

The TDP and JSP activists in an intoxicated mood by consuming ganja, liquor attacked on Uppala Harika’s car loudly shouting “Champandi, Kottandi” etc. And they also they abused her with filthy language. The TDP, JSP activists surrounded her car and hit the car with sticks and rod on the windows, car glasses and damaged the car.

They tried to drag her from the car with the motto of killing her. She didn’t get down from the car and sat in the car with fear nearly one and half hour. The police who is on duty there simply seeing the incident and not to prevent the assailants. The police asked the ZP Chairperson to come out of the car, but she refused.

Then the assailants tied the rope to her car to take away. ZP Chairperson Uppala Harika complained on this incident in Gudivada police station. After the incident she spoke to media persons how she was afraid and terrified by the incident. She also is going to complain to district SP also.

She alleged that the police are inefficient to provide protection to the 1^st woman of the Krishna district as ZP Chairperson, simply imaging how the police are going to protect the ordinary woman or a lay woman.

The police also house arrested the YSRCP district incharge Perni Nani, former MLA Kaile Anil Kumar and Perni Kittu. The police have not arrested any person till now.
