Pulivendula: The TDP candidates and their associates occupied and captured the polling booths and created tense in the ZPTC bye-elections in Pulivendula and Ontimitta mandals in Kadapa districts on Tuesday morning.
The TDP MLC B.Tech Ravi and his family members implemented non democratic practices in 15 polling booths in Pulivendula ZPTC limits. They brought 100s TDP activists from Jammalamadugu, Proddatur and Kamalapuram constituencies to capture the polling booths with the cooperation of police.
The TDP gundas have taken control over the polling booths and not allowed the YSRCP polling agents into the polling booths and allowed the voters into the polling stations. They are snatching voter slips from the voters and threatened them to go out of the polling booths. If any voter questions them they will be ready to beat them.
The police supported the TDP candidate and their associates to vote their candidate and prevented the YSRCP leaders by arrests and house arrests. They are not allowing voters to cast their vote. The TDP gundas carrying sticks, rods and other weapons by creating violence scene near the polling booths.
Pulivendula YSRCP ZPTC contesting candidate Hemanth Reddy was also house arrested. In a video message he said that nearly 150 TDP gundas surrounded his residence and has a dinner place near the polling booth. Who gave permission to them to make dinner near the polling booth? The police and the EC have utterly failed to conduct free and fair polls in Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC bye – elections.
The police arrested Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy at his residence in Pulivendula at 5 am on Tuesday and taken away to Kadapa headquarters. At the time of his arrest the police behave rudely on YS Avinash Reddy and even not allowed him to wear his foot wear. Later police bringing YS Avinash Reddy from Kadapa to Jammalamadugu via Yerraguntla, by knowing this information former MLA Sudheer Reddy and YSRCP activists stopped the police vehicle and demanded to release YS Avinash Reddy.
The YSRCP activists surrounded the police vehicle and not allowed to move the police vehicle from the spot until unless YS Avinash Reddy is released. The police are not having any answer of YS Avinash Reddy arrest finally they accepted to leave YS Avinash Reddy at Sudheer Reddy’s residence. The YSRCP activists formed an escort to the police vehicle and followed them.
YSRCP State General Secretary Satish Reddy also house arrested at his residence at Vempally.
