Los Angeles: The feature film “Parasite” won four Oscar Awards in 2020 celebrations, instead of the favourite critic film “War drama 1917”. The awards committee presented Oscar awards at Dolby Theatre at Los Angeles in California.

The Bong Joon-ho’s film Parasite won Best Film, Best Director, Best International Feature and Best Original Screenplay awards in Oscars-2020. A South Korean film Parasite director Bong Joon-ho said in his speech the Parasite is a best film among other director’s nominees Sam Mendes, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino and Todd Phillips, but no, there was still Best Picture left.

The Best Actor award won actor Joaquin Phoenix for the film ‘Joker’, Renee Zellweger won Best Actress for Judy. Best supporting actor award-2020 won Brad Pitt for film ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ and Laura Dern won Best Female Supporting Actress for her performance in ‘Marriage Story’.

War drama 1917 won Best Cinematography award, Best Visual Effects awards, Best Adapted Screenplay award won by Jojo Rabbit. Toy Story-4 won Best Animated Feature film. The 92^nd Academy Awards capped Hollywood’s award season this year. Once again, the Oscar ceremony went hostless. Presenters included last year’s winners Rami Malek, Olivia Colman, Regina King and Mahershala Ali. Among performances of this year’s Oscar nominated songs was a surprise gig by Eminem. Actor Wes Studi and filmmakers David Lynch and Lina Wertmuller received Honorary Oscars. Geena Davis received the Jean Hershoolt Humanitarian Award.
