ACB Seized Rs. 39 L Cash, Rs. 06 L Worth Jewellery: Shiekpet SI and RI Remanded

Hyderabad: The ACB officials arrested Shiekpet Revenue Inspector K. Nagarjuna Reddy and Banjarahills SI Ravinder on Sunday, on the complaint of a Syed Abdul Khaleel. The ACB seized Rs 15 L from RI Nagarjuna Reddy red-handedly on Sunday, and the RI and SI will be sent for judicial remind.

RI took the amount as a bribe to solve the problems linked to the land in Road No.14 of Banjarahills. The landlord Syed Abdul Khaleel, a resident of Mir Alam Mandi is the owner of 4865 sq yds of land in Banjarahills. He complained the ACB officials against the RI and SI and the MRO of Shiekpet on Saturday.

The ACB officials raided Shiekpet Tahsildar CH. Sujata’s residence and found Rs. 30 L of the property in her house. The ACB officials raided the Tahsildars flat in Gandhi Nagar and found Rs. 30 L worth property including Rs. 24 L Cash and jewellery on Sunday. The ACB officials questioned Tahsildar about the money but she denied any wrong doing.

The Tahsildar Sujatha said that it is the money they saved from their salaries but they should not show any documents pertaining in the sale of land, which the husband of Tahsildar said about the land selling. But the ACB officials not arrested the Tahsildar Sujatha on the allegations of bribe, which is not evidenced.
