Jagan decided to probe on Babu’s insider trading of land purchase at Amaravathi

Vijayawada: The AP Government has decided on Friday to seek an enquiry of CBI, Lokayukta or CID on the allegations of involvement of the then Chief Minister N. Chandra Babu Naidu and several Ministers, MLAs and TDP leaders. The Information and Public Relations Minister Perni Venkata Ramaiah briefed the cabinet decisions to the media.

The allegations are on land purchases in the capital region in Amaravathi based on “Leaked Prior Information” before the official announcement of the location of a new capital for the state. The AP cabinet took the decision on Friday in the cabinet meeting held in the Secretariat at Velagapudi in Amaravathi capital region.

A Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by B. Rajendranath Reddy Finance Minister submitted its report to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Cabinet meeting. The cabinet had decided to seek an enquiry on the anomalies of the alleged insider trading by TDP leaders trough Lokayukta, CBI or CID. The Cabinet Sub-Committee report was based on its probe into the irregularities and insider trading allegations in the capital region for the past four months. The Government had decided to seek a legal opinion before referring it to the investigation agencies for investigation.
