We are not accepting PK’s words: Telugu Film Producers delegation

Machilipatnam:  AP I & PR Minister Perni Venkata Ramaiah (Nani) said that the Telugu Film Producers extended their support for the online ticketing system. A team of Telugu Film Producers Dil Raju, DVV Danayya, Bunny Vasu, Sunil Narang and Vamshi Reddy met him at the R&B guest house in Machilipatnam on Wednesday.

After discussing with the film producers, Minister speaking with the media persons said that they do not agree with the opinion expressed by Pawan Kalyan at a movie pre release event in the wake of the incidents that are causing damage to Telugu Film Industry. Producers have made it clear that they have nothing to do with Pawan Kalyan’s comments. Chiranjeevi also said that the film industry had nothing to do with the developments in the Republic movie pre release program.

Chiranjeevi said he was ready to follow the instructions and advice given by the State Government to revive the industry. Minister Perni Nani said that the actor called me as servant of Reddys? Yes I am a servant to the Reddys especially for CM YS Jagan. Do you accept that you are a servant to Kammas, especially to Chandra Babu, said Perni Nani. You never said that dark relationships with Kammas because of you are taking a big salary from them for your work.

Pawan Kalyan is the only person in the country who has hired a political party. Minister Nani said that Pawan Kalyan was the person who set up a tent house for political parties. He said at a recent meeting in Vijayawada that the producers had demanded an increase of 50% occupancy in theaters to 100% in the wake of the Covid – 19 declines in Andhra Pradesh. They asked for a consensus based online approach, taking into account issues such as construction costs and investments.

The producers deligation says that everyone is in favor of the online ticketing system. He said the online ticketing system through BookMyShow, Paytm and Zest tickets is continuing in many theaters. The producers demanded that if there was a specific policy, it would be good for the film industry and the Government. The propaganda that the Government is selling the tickets is not correct.

After a meeting with Minister Nani in Machilipatnam, Dil Raju said that he did not want to give in to controversial issues in the film industry. He said the State Government was positive to address the issues they had raised. He said he had asked Minister Nani to discuss with the Chief Minister and work towards a solution so that the Andhra Pradesh government would be positive towards them.
