British PM Johnson stable in ICU

London: Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson spent his second day in the ICU at St. Thomas hospital due to the infection Covid- 19 pandemic, said the Prime Minister’s office Downing Street.

Johnson remain stable over night, he is receiving standard oxygen treatment and breathing without any assistance, said the note. He has not required any mechanical ventilation or non-invasive respiratory support, said British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab on Tuesday.

He was confident that Johnson, in ICU with a Covid- 19 infection, would pull through because “He is a fighter”, said Raab. Johnson’s personal battle with the virus has shaken the Government just as the UK, now in its third week of viral lock down, enters what scientist say will be deadliest phase of its Covid- 19 epidemic. It has already killed 6, 200 people in Britain.
