Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Tamil Governor tested Covid- 19 positive

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa admitted to Manipal Hospitals for Covid- 19 positive, on the advice of doctors as a precautionary measure. Yediyurappa in a tweet on Sunday late night said that he has tested Covid- 19 positive.

According to the sources of the CM office, the 77 year old leader’s test results came positive as part of the once in seven days tests conducted by the Health Department. In the past few months, three of his colleagues i.e. C.T. Ravi, Anand Singh and B. C. Patil had tested positive for Covid- 19. He is the second Chief Minister, after his counterpart Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, to be infected with Covid- 19.

Tamil Nadu Governor tests Covid- 19 positive: Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit has tested Covid- 19 positive, but advised home isolation since his infection was mild, a city based private hospital, said on Sunday. The 80 year old Purohit was on self- isolation since July 29th, after three people in Raj Bhavan tested positive for the Covid- 19.
