Malkajgiri MP arrest

Hyderabad: The Narsingi police held Malkajgiri MP (Congress) Revanth Reddy and former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy on Monday as preventive custody. The two leaders are arrested on the allegations of trying to hold a press conference infront of a private farm house allegedly owned by a prominent TRS leader, Janvada village, under Cyberabad police limits.

Both the leaders took media persons to the farm house and held a press conference at an open place adjacent to it. The Narsingi police asked them to vacate the place. At that time, the police and the leaders followers push each other, former MP sustained minor injuries to his leg. These two leaders alleged that the State Minister KTR had constructed a mansion in the land which falls under the G.O MS. No 111 which prohibits permanent constructions within ten Kms radius of the Hussainsagar and Osmansagar lakes.

The Congress leaders said that the TRS leader KTR built the mansion over 25 acres of land in survey numbers 301, 302, 312 and 313 in Janvada village. The land registered in the name of some of his friends and his family members.
