Kerala Governor faces students protests

Trivandrum: The protesters of anti-CAA and NRC expressed anger on Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan’s defending remarks on CAA on Saturday. A section of delegates and students staged protests at the inauguration of 80th addition of the Indian History Congress in Kannur in North Kerala.

The trouble arises, when the Governor tried to defend the BJP Government at the Centre and criticize the national-wide anti-CAA and NRC agitations. The delegates from JNU, JMIU and a section of delegates rose to protest against the Governor’s remarks. The Governor asked that protesters, you have no right to violence or to create disturbance. If you want to show black flags you can show it. The angry protesters raised the slogan “Kerala Governor Shame Shame”.  The police swung into action and took four students into custody.
