Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Benerjee appealed to citizens of various localities to bear with state agencies for a few days to restore the electricity and water etc, necessities. The protesting people who were not receiving electricity and water since two days, they are also expressing anger on the State Government.

Mamatha Benerjee said to the angry people take my head if you want, the Government agencies are trying to restore the normalcy, and also to restore the electricity and water which was cut due to the cyclone. She also said try to appreciate the difficulties, we are not sitting idle. A total of 225 teams are working in Kolkata. I understand your problems, she said. She also said she has spoken to CESC’s Sanjeev Goenka, it is private organization and not under us.

It is suffering man power shortage because of the lock down, she said. They need skilled man power, just not workers, she said at Secretariat, Nabanna Building on Saturday. All State Government agencies are facing a shortage of man power, said Mamatha. She also said officers have been working with reduced man power because of the lock down. We don’t have enough people to cut trees, and also she told the KMC and Kolkata police to engage locals for restoration works.
