YS Jagan launched YSR Bima Scheme to BPL families

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his Government is going to implement free insurance scheme to 1.32 crore BPL families in the State in the year 2021 – 22.

He launched the YSR Bima scheme to the BPL families on Thursday by pressing a button in a computer at his camp office, Tadepally.

Speaking on the occasion YS Jagan said that the moto of the scheme is to support the families which lost the head of the family or the earning member of the family at any circumstances. This insurance scheme is fully owned by the State Government.

The premium of the insurance will bear by the State Government on behalf of the BPL families. The head of the family members between 18 to 50 years will get Rs One lakh as insurance, the age limit between 18 to 70 years will get Rs Five lakhs as insurance amount, he said.

The Village and Ward Secretariats will enroll the insurance scheme to BPL families and it also handover the claims to the insured person families with immediate effect.
