BJP is spread communal virus: Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi: Covid- 19 had disturbingly increased its spread and sweep in the last three weeks, said AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi on Thursday. She convened a second meeting of the CWC during the lock down period which included the party CMs.

Speaking in the meeting she accused BJP of stoking the “Communal Virus” and failing to provide a plan to shield vulnerable groups from jobless and reviving the economy. She also said 12 crores job were lost in the first phase of lock down and warned that continuing restrictions after May 3 would be “More devastating”. She said that she made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through letters and only been acted upon partially and in miserly way. She added that the compassion, large heartedness and alacrity that should be forth coming from the Central Government are conspicuous by its absence.

At the same time she said that when we should be tackling Covid- 19 unitedly, BJP continuously to spread the virus of Communal prejudice and hatred.  Grave damages are being done to our social harmony, she said. It should worry each and every one of us Indians.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi stressed the need for a clear post lock down “Exit Strategy”.  They also said, underlining that the poor and migrants were facing extreme distress. According to the sources Rahul touched upon the migrants’ problem to say the privileged were being favoured over the poor.
