YSR awards will confer every year on November 1st: YS Jagan

Vijayawada: AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that the AP Government has instituted the YSR awards to honour the persons and institutions, which rendering their valuable services in their respective fields every year from 2021 onwards, like the Union Government’s prestigious Bharata Ratna and Padma Awards. The arts and culture which are brand ambassadors for Telugu and Andhra Pradesh people have been featured in these awards.

YSR Life Achievement award and YSR Achievement awards will confer every year on the November 1st, the AP State Formation Day to the distinguished personalities. AP Governor Bhiswabushan Harichandan and YS Jagan paid floral tributes to the statues of Amarajeevi Potti Sri Ramulu and YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Governor and Chief Minister presented a total of 59 awards, including 29 YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards and 30 YSR Achievement Awards for the year 2021.

Speaking on the occasion YS Jagan said that his father and Mahaneta late YS Rajasekhar Reddy will appear in Panchakattu is replica to a living style of Telugu people, his fond towards agriculture at every step of his way. We have announced the highest civilian awards at the state level in the name of such a great and nobleman in the name of YSR Lifetime Achievement and YSR Achievement Awards.

We are felicitating with Rs. 10 lakhs, Bronze Statue, Memento and certificate to those who announce Lifetime Achievement Awards. We also felicitating with Rs. 5 lakhs, Bronze Statue, Memento and certificate to the recipients of YSR Achievement Awards. We are not selecting the personalities for these awards for their merit of their services, not on the basis of Caste, Religion, Region and political parties.

We consider these awards in various fields like art and culture for a Dappu artist, for a puppet show, for Ponduru Khadi, for a folk song, for a Bobbili Veena, for a stage poem. These are the awards given for Thinsa dance, Surabhi drama, Savar painting, street drama, Harikatha, Burrakatha, Venkatagiri Jandhani sari, Manadaina kalankari, wood carving, Nadasvarani and Manadaina Kuchipudi, he said.        MSN Charities, CP Brown Library, Vetapalam Library, RDT and Satyasai Central Trust felicitated with YSR awards which have a history of hundreds of years.
