TDP Chief Chandrababu staged Deeksha after failing his bandh call on Wednesday.

YSRCP leaders expressed anger over Chandrababu on his bandh call and protest Deekshas without condemning the derogative remarks of Pattabhi against CM YS Jagan. YSRCP leaders took a decision to stage “Janaagraha Deeksha” in all headquarters of Assembly and Mandal headquarters for 48 hours from Thursday onwards.

YSRCP General Secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy demanded the apology of Chandrababu Naidu for his support to the Pattabhi who made derogatory remarks on YS Jagan. He also alleged that he is the person behind the derogatory words against YS Jagan to create unrest in the State and create law and order problems in the State.

He also demanded the EC to cancel the TDP’s recognition as a political party. YSRCP Ministers, MPs, MLAs and party workers and other public representatives participated in Janaagraha Deeksha.

TDP Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday began his 36 hours Deeksha protesting Government sponsored terrorism in Andhra Pradesh. Along with other party leaders, he sat on the Deeksha at his party’s headquarters in Mangalagiri demanding that the Union Government intervene to save the people of the state from the drug mafia and the undemocratic and fascist regime.

Speaking on the occasion Chandrababu reiterated his demand for invoking Article 356, stating the existing situation in the State makes it a necessity. We have never made such demands in the past or were in a habit of making such demands. But, the lapses of the Jaganmohan Reddy Government crossed all limits. The future of the whole state and the country was at stake now, he said.
